Jazzing up Lola's onesies...and a bib!

So, in a craft store binge, I happened upon these iron-ons for baby! Of course the first one I do (the bib, and my practice) turns out perfect! So on to the little owl on a new pink t-shirt - DISASTER! I melted the iron-on onto the cutting board I was using and screwed it up royally! YIKES! I was bummed. I have to try that one again!
The "Future Ballerina" onesie is for her Halloween costume. I made a tutu a few months ago and needed a shirt to go with it! I haven't thought past that what the rest will look like!
The little bird onesie has princess on it and almost turned out...the flower is barely missing on it, so I will have to give that one another try too! It is wearable - but, I think that is one that will look better on a bib. If you know Lola, her bib is her accessory, as she is my spit up queen. She actually is getting much better. I am sure it has to do with her sitting up all the time.

So 3 out of my five attempts turned out semi-successful! I told Chad that I wanted a sewing machine for Christmas and he looked at me like I was crazy - then I asked myself if I was slowy headed that way!?!

My First Chipboard Album

Made this for one of my girlfriends for a wedding shower gift! Thought it was a cute way to show off a few of their favorite pictures together! For being a rookie at this one - I was pretty pleased!

Kyan's First T-Ball Practice

Kyan had his first t-ball practice last night at friendship park! He looked soooooo cute in his little baseball cleats! He was so excited and did a great job batting and catching the ball! He even wanted to stay after and practice out on the field when it was over! It was only for like five extra minutes, until his knee got scraped up, then he was done! We gotta work on his toughness!
I remember thinking when Kyan was a baby, that I couldn't wait to watch him play t-ball. So crazy and amazing that it is already here! Oh...how they grow up so fast!

AHHHHHHH!!!!! The T to hit from! What a sight! The kids couldn't wait to get a turn!

Lola played on the sidelines as her brother practiced for his first game coming up on October 18!

All Aboard!!!

Kyan was playing with his trains this morning! Caught some cute ones of him!

Trying to find my inner creativity again

Amazing how a pile of this....
...turns into a creation like this!

Inspired by my aunt Heidi's scrapbook for my kids, I am searching (and finding) my inner creativity again! Thanks Heidi, I think that I just needed a good kick in the butt to get me started. I used to scrapbook before I had kids, but with this blog and the books that shutterfly creates for you with uploaded pictures, I just haven't been able to get excited about that. A few weeks ago I learned to make signs with my mother-in-law at church and that has been what I have been wanting to do lately. I ordered several different ones, and I thought they would have been done already (done enough meaning the boards were cut and the letters/sayings were printed), but no such luck! So I got my thinking cap on and discovered the wonderful world of "mod podge". It is my new best friend! I have been wanting to make a name plate of sorts for my classroom and it is finally finished! This took me lots of hours to do, but I had fun creating it, and I think that it really turned out nice! Anyone wants to know how to make, let me know, I took pictures of the whole process!

Krafty Kyan

Kyan wanted in on his share of crafting this weekend, so instead of having him mess with what I was doing, I got him a dog dish to paint for Fletcher, since he didn't have one! Kyan was so excited and kept saying how much he loved Fletcher while painting the dish! He patiently waited for it to dry and finally got to deliver Fletcher his breakfast in the new dog dish this morning!

Belly Time!

Lola loves playing around while she is on her belly! She probably doesn't get enough of it since our whole house is almost all tile - but we have been putting her in the bedrooms on the floor as much as possible! After our "Walk for Education" this morning, we went over to grandma's house, as she lives in the neighborhood that I teach in. She enjoyed her time on the carpet while playing with her grandma! Thanks for letting us cool off!
