So Kyan and I had a blast, think you can tell by the look on his face! He can't wait to see his buddies (he loves my dad's friends and they are so good to him, that he refers to them as his buddies too) tomorrow!

Yummy!
Slaved away in the kitchen tonight and had help from Kyan - boy does he love to help cook! Thinking I might have a chef in the making on my hands! My dad asked if I would cook for his golfing buddies (8 of them!) that are in town! I made a deal that I would make it for tomorrow, but not tonight! I wanted tonight to make it and let it set for the evening, homemade spaghetti sauce and meatballs are so much better the second day! We have to make our special chocolate chip cookies in the morning, as we ran out of time tonight! Those are a must as well!

Princess Shoes for the Princess!
We went to cousins Michelle and Saige's birthday party this afternoon/evening and Lola came home with a pair of her own princess shoes, thanks to Grandma Donna! Maaaa-ga (Lo's new word for Grandma?) knows how much she loves shoes, so she had to get her a pair, pink of course! Lola LOVES them and rocked them all around the house when we got home! Thanks Grandma - makes her even more of a DIVA than before!They even stick to noses?!?
This one is blurry, but it says it all - whatever Kyan does, Lola does too!
Oh, my children - they make me laugh on a daily basis and I love that Lola loves her brother so much and wants to do everything he does - including putting stickers on her nose (or any body part for that matter)! I also love that Kyan is pretty amazing with Lola (for the most part anyway)! They were so cute (and dirty - geeeeeeez, I need to wash their faces) together and loved posing for the camera!

A Birthday to Remember
Wow, this one was unforgettable! I woke up to a happy birthday text from my mama (she is learning to text, so it still feels strange to get one, but always puts a smile on my face) and it really set my day! I forgot to get the card in the mail, but I am saving that for today so I still have something left to open! Chad just told me where our mailbox is last night, so I will grab it on my way to work this morning (sorry mom).
When I walked into my room at school it was beautifully decorated! I was shocked when I looked at the board and saw that Celeste and Laken had contacted one of my teammates (thanks Rooks) and had her help the night before to decorate! Brought some happy tears and made me realize that these two ladies are so special to me (they were before, but I think it just made me love them even more)! They totally threw me off, as they text me at like 5:45 in the morning and had plans of coming back to school to visit yesterday...so I was not expecting what they did at all! Thanks again ladies for making my birthday so special!
Then, during my second hour, which isn't until about 1pm, I got the most beautiful bouquet of pink and yellow roses (think they were long stem)! They smell so good! Chad is so good about the flowers and always makes sure they are beautiful! I am a lucky girl for sure!!! The office ladies are jealous and teased me when they called to have someone walk down to get them for me! They told her to tell me they were from them! HA! The were wondering what I had done to get flowers twice this month!?
I got showered with text messages and phone calls all day with birthday wishes - thank you to everyone who sent them my way! Each one was special to me!
When I got home from work, Kyan and Lola got me a singing dog card (I know I get a singing card if it is from Kyan...they are his favorite) and some scisscors to cut fabric with! Then it was off to the store by my house to get my new sewing machine!!! The plan was to go as a family, but the kids were being crazy, so Chad told me to go pick the one I wanted! Woohoo! I spent way too much money, but get free lessons on how to use the thing for as long as I own the machine. I went to a locally owned place in Goodyear and they were sweet ladies who are so excited to teach me! I went in there pretty clueless (and I told them that)!
Then it was back to the house for some dinner that my dad brought home! Ah-So!!! So delicious! I think my dad was surprised at well much Kyan loves it too and eats with his chopsticks! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Lola's New Loves
Wearing anyone's shoes but her own...they are laying around, she will find them and put them on her own feet! Today, she found mine!
And necklaces! I had to buy her her own so that she will stop stealing mine! This is her favorite, it is a silver chain with a big pink heart on the end!

This is the weird circle room at the top of the stairs! It is in the works, for now, the telescope and a love seat are keeping it warm!
Oh the stairs, I love the staircase! So far, no accidents, but I am not holding my breath! The heavy duty gate at the bottom of the steps helps so much!
The hallway upstairs! There is a little room at the top - the future site of my craft corner! I see a sewing machine fitting perfectly!
That is it for now! I am always doing something it seems like in the house, but for just being here for a little under three weeks - I say, "not bad!" I am truly lucky to be living in my dream home and Chad and I find ourselves saying often how much we love it here!
