Can't Wait
Time has flown and now Chad, Lola, and I are about to do the same thing! We are flying out this morning to good ole Nebraska to join Kyan on vacation. That is where my family is from and we are going to spend a small town 4th of July week there! I probably won't write or post pictures until I come back! Hope everyone has a great week!

Hanging w/ Grandpa B
Kyan always wants his grandpa to play cars with him and Brion never gets a chance to just cuddle up to Lola! Yesterday he did! We stopped by for a little visit before bringing over dinner to Michael and Candis!
Chad and I remembered what it was like to be that pregnant (ok...so I never made it to 39 weeks, but I do remember wanting that baby out of me!) and not wanting to cook or go anywhere and being so tired. Plus, it was a good excuse to see them before we left on vacation too. They had set up new baby stuff and we wanted to check it out. We are so excited for them to have baby Camden. Whenever my friends are pregnant, it seems that I am always out of town when their babies are born...I am sure it will happen for them as well. As much as I would like to be here when it does, for Candis' sake, I hope baby Camden comes as soon as today! We can't wait to meet her!

Work in Progress
So here are a few photos of my kiddo's rooms! Both are in the makes...but coming along! Kyan just recently got upgraded to a twin mattress and box spring so that his new "big boy" bedding would fit! He still needs his Eddie Vedder picture hung, as well as some skateboards on the wall. I have to paint his toybox black too. Since we got him the new bedding, which he LOVES, he has kept his room so much cleaner.
After having a girl, I so had to make her room girly. I totally blame my mother-in-law for this one (just kidding...so thankful). She brought over a Pottery Barn Kids catalog for me to look at after Lola was born and I totally fell in love with the bedding Lola has now. I had to search high and low to find it, eventually calling stores in California to have it shipped to me! It was sold out in Arizona and back ordered online until the end of July! So, her letters have gone up and her birdies are hung, really the only thing left is to have her tree painted on one of the walls. One of my former students is an AMAZING artist and she is painting it for Lola! I am so excited because she is coming over to start drawing it tomorrow! Between our vacation and her babysitting and camp it won't be done for awhile, but I know it will be worth the wait!
Jay-Lo
Jayla and Lola had a fun day shopping with their mommies on Tuesday. This is them after we got home from the mall. I sold some bedding off of craiglist and the lady was supposed to meet me at Arizona Mills....she NEVER showed! Needless to say, it wasn't a total waste of a trip! The four of us had a good time and got some exercise walking around that big mall. It is still so crazy to me that these girls were born on the same day!

Thank You
Thank you Brianna and Alex for coming to help me with my classroom this morning! I had fun and feel like we got a lot done!
Leavin' on a Jetplane
I never thought it would be that hard letting Kyan go spend a week with Grandma and Grandpa in Nebraska, boy was I wrong! He is such a big boy...I got big crocodile tears in my eyes when I watched him go through security, he was like a little man. I know he will have such a good time with them and he is very lucky to have some alone time with them! He will be so spoiled that I will probably have to talk him into coming home some how! Chad, Lola, and I head there on Saturday to meet up with him and spend forth of July with my family. Can't wait...
Happy Birthday Mama!
I got to spend the weekend with my mama...she celebrated her 50th birthday!!! I got a whole 36 hours off of mom and wife duties thanks to Chad!
Kyan and I picked her up from the airport around 9:30 on Friday night. Kyan was so excited because grandma got to sleep in his new bed! (He just got his twin mattress and new bedding). Grandma used to have to sleep on the floor, but now that is bed is normal size, she got to share it with him and he couldn't have been more happy to scoot on over to make room for her.
On Saturday I took her to Lavender's Day Spa for a body scrub and massage. I go to this place all the time for their great massages and was raving to my mom about how wonderful of a job they do. So Lavender's...what do I even begin? My mom went in for her massage and I sat in the waiting room, and sat, and sat. We had appointments at the same time, but my lady was about 20 minutes late! She made up for it though and I got the best massage I think I have ever had. My mom did not! Her lady left 10 minutes in to her massage, saying that she wanted my mom to relax for a few minutes and she would be right back. She did this three times. Between our massages and scrubs my massage therapist comes back in and says that she is sorry for leaving me for so long, but there was an emergency. I was thinking to myself, please let everything be okay with my mom...she was fine, but her massage therapist ended up leaving her room for the fourth time and puked in the hallway. I felt so bad for my mom, her it was, her 50th birthday and she was supposed to have a great experience. Why couldn't it have been me in there? Lavender's was very accommodating and refunded my money and apologized left and right for what happened! After our morning there, we laid around the pool and then shopped the rest of the day! She really wore me out...I couldn't keep up. We were in bed by 9:30!
Sunday we went to church and...you guessed it...shopped some more. We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast at McDonald's :) and then headed out. The afternoon was spent lounging by the pool again and then it was off to the airport.
Thanks mom for a great weekend, I felt more like it was my birthday! We should do this EVERY year! I love you!!!

4 Months!
Little Miss Lola had her 4 month old check-up today! She weighed in at 16 lbs, 4 ounces and was 25 and 3/4 inches long. This put her in the 92 percentile for both her height and weight. She has to stay on the Nutramigen Formula (so expensive) for at least two more months, as her little belly is so sensitive (gets that from her grandma Donna). She is ready to begin foods, but the doctor said not to push anything if she is sleeping through the night. She is doing just great right now, so we will probably hold off on food for a little while, no need to rush into it. She had to get three shots today and was not happy about that. Kyan was very good at calming her down and had a kiss waiting for her as soon as the nurse was done!

Lola
Big brother and little sister
It is not very often that I can catch the two of them in a good picture, usually they turn out with one smiling and one not paying attention, so I was so happy to get these, especially the top one! Kyan is such a good big brother, always quick to throw away dirty diapers or grab the burp rag and he wants to hold her or be by her all the time. It helps that Lola absolutely LOVES her big brother and can't take her eyes off of him. Kyan is known to make Lola giggle often, especially after dinner!

Ahhhhh...a clean house
Not so sure why, but having a clean house just makes me feel so much better! I was throwing around the idea of hiring a cleaning lady yesterday only because I just didn't feel like cleaning...anything...especially the shower. Uhhhh. But, I couldn't stand it anymore! I needed it to be clean...NOW! So as soon as I got the kids down for their afternoon naps (I got lucky and got them both asleep right around the same time, I guess I was just meant to clean) off a scrubbing I went! With that said, I would love any recommendations for good cleaning ladies! Please, send them my way.
