Kicking it with Grandpa Jerry

Okay, so notice this is outfit number one of playing lightsaber swords with grandpa Jerry! The kid had on three different outfits during the time that I spent with them yesterday...and I was only there half the day!

According to Kyan in this picture, he is stretching and getting ready to beat grandpa at swords again. It was so cute and I couldn't resist taking this pic! One day he might not approve, but I will snap away while I can now!

This would be outfit number 2 while playing with the swords...

Lola's new headband and flower! I can't take the credit for this one...another great find at the Estrella Farmers Market! Thanks grandpa, she looks so cute! I will be making more of these clips to put on the bands for sure! So cute, the big flower with her chubby cheeks!

...and this would be outfit number 3?!? Although I didn't catch them playing swords in this one, the kids and grandpa wrestled around for about a half an hour! Lola was getting into it as much as her brother!
I love this one!

Just kicking it!Kyan being silly to the camera...not exactly sure what he is doing here?

Lola knows the flash of the camera all to well and crawls toward it now when I am snapping away! I think this is a good thing!

More Signs!

I have been wanting to find time to get these signs done since September! I have been doing some arts and crafts with my students in the mornings before school, so I have brought mine to work on too! That was the only way to get them done! The "Home is where our story begins" sign is above our tv on our entertainment center in the family room and "The Roseland Family" is in our front entrance way! That is the one I am most excited for! It is giant - holding 1 8x10 family picture and 3 5x7 pictures of the kids!

If anyone is interested I order my signs through accrosstheboardlettering.com. She is really fast at getting the signs made and to you! Plus, they are very easy to make!

Bibitz

Coolest idea ever! I always am forgetting a bib for Lola at restaurants these days and this is perfect! You just clip the ends on to any napkin and instant bib! I can just keep this in her diaper bag and never be without a bib again! Thanks Grandpa Jerry for this little gift from the Estrella farmers market! I am pretty sure Candis might want this one...but I'll have to wait until January 17th to go to the Camden one! Only had Grandpa's money yesterday!

Vans for the Kids!

Yesterday we went to the Vans store close to our house to meet Grandma Donna for Lola's Christmas present. Grandma needed/wanted to know the particular size and style of shoe Miss Lola needed! Kyan was due for some shoes too, seems he has outgrown his shoes again! After contemplating over which pair he wanted - he decided on the purple ones! Yes, PURPLE! Apparently it is his new favorite color. He has went from blue, to red, to purple. I tried to talk him out of it, but obviously no luck. When Kyan gets set in his ways his mind is set and there really isn't any convincing him otherwise...oh well, puple shoes it is!

Grandma found a cute little pair of shoes for Lola as well! They are a little big now, but I give her a month and she'll be in them! To hold her over until then, I found some infant socks that have the checkerboard tread at the bottom! I got them in pink and black! I love them and they fit her chunky little feet purple! Shoes are hard to find for her. She has wide Fred Flinstone feet right now! Kyan was the same way when he was her age - now he has big feet (not wide anymore, just big!)

I did manage to sneak in a pair of shoes for myself while we were there! One person could really go crazy in that store. I found a bag (with a bird on it of course) that I absolutely LOVE! I might have to go back and get it after Christmas if they still have it!

$16.89 and how to make it snow?

Just went to fill up my tank and I paid $16.89! Almost kissed the machine it came out of!

Also, I want to make my blog snow and a few of you have it on yours...PLEASE teach me how!

Happy Birthday Grandma Donna and Grandpa Jerry

We love you guys and hope that you have very special days! Grandma Donna's birthday is today! Grandpa Jerry celebrates his tomorrow! You are both so very important to us each and every day - these days are just really special! Here is to getting older!

Bedhead

This is what Lola's hair looked like when she woke up this morning...a sign that maybe it is growing, even if it is just a little!
