Kyan goes to Preschool
The first day of school is one of the craziest and it is always a good idea to be there early, as there are 1000's of things that you forget to do or that come up last minute. Because of this, I went to school bright and early to make sure everything would run smooth for my incoming 8th graders, and it did. However, being a teacher at a middle school also meant that I would have to miss dropping Kyan off at his first day of Preschool at the elementary school. Yes, I am very emotional and sensitive about it. I had all of these directions for Chad about his first day. Luckily, Chad switched shifts with someone at work so that he could drop him off at the regular time (because I drop off the kids and am at school early, Kyan will normally go to what is called extended day, like daycare, before and after school). It was a zoo there this morning and they had to walk forever just to get to the doors, Kyan was overwhelmed and didn't understand why it was so crazy, but needless to say, he was ecstatic once he reached his room! When I picked him up from school this afternoon, he kept saying how much fun he had and told me about all of the cool things that he got to do! He is really excited to go back tomorrow! This is my baby on his first day:

As stupid as it is I have tears right now. I cannot believe how big he is! I love his little teddy.
Aww! I think its TOO cute that he has his bear!! Is blankie missing out on the fun, or is he hiding in the backpack!?
Kyan is such a little stud muffin & i bet all the girls at school are already all over him! I can't wait to see him and hear all about his new school!
AHHHH sweet little Kyan. I got teary eyed reading this. Glad Chad was able to see him off on his first day. Maybe, just maybe it will work out for you one of these times. You have to keep thinking of all the benefits that come along with being a teacher, like all the time off with them and being home with them when they get off school, etc.
Tell Kyan, the Garrett's are so proud of him and can't wait to hear all about his school life.
