Ok, so I was tagged by my new blog friend Amy ~ with a little hesitation, I played along! Could I really think of 25 random things about myself? The answer is yes (they were the first twenty five things that popped into my head) so here you go...
1. I love to drink unsweetened ice tea.
2. I am a newbie to the photography world ~ Rosie J. Photography ~ it is my dream to do it as a full time profession sooner rather than later.
3. Four years ago, my car got keyed by three students (no, I don't teach at that school anymore). The damage wasn't really that bad, so instead of using the money to fix it (because yes, I pressed charges) I bought my first "real" camera - my Nikon D40x. Thus began my love for photography. I know use a Nikon D90.
4. I ordered Christmas Post Cards this year from vistaprint.com - cheaper to send out and cheaper to buy! I ordered my Post Cards last night at 10:30 and when I checked this morning they already shipped! Yes, I did pay for them to be rush ordered, BUT, I got 100 of them for free?! So the $27 (or something like that) shipping was not a big deal, because that was all I had to pay for! Ok, I am a liar, I did pay $4.99 to upload my own picture in there - but, for $32, I am not complaining! I have NO CLUE how they are going to really look, guess if you guys don't get one, then you will know! Heehee! Fingers crossed!
5. I write in (parenthesis) a lot! It is usually my thoughts while I am writing whatever it is that I am writing! HA! I get distracted in my side thoughts easily! Now I bet those parts make more sense to you now (or not - heehee).
6. I have been growing out my hair longer than I can remember, then get bored and irritated during that "gross" phase - so I cut it. I can finally say that it is growing!!! I just call Susie right before I go to the salon (really, every time I go to the salon) fo rthe pep talk and her telling me, "DO NOT CUT IT!" She keeps me honest and WILL tell me like it is!
7. I could spend hours on Photoshop! Since learning lots of new tricks (thanks to my sister-in-law Rae Lynn) I can say that I am not afraid of it anymore!
8. I talk to both of my parents on the phone every day! My mom usually multiple times. I love them and wish they lived here in AZ.
9. While growing up, my parents were strict! I HATED them for it during the time, but LOVE them for it now. Rules and structure are important for kids to have!
10. I talk to Susie every morning on my way to work - we can talk about nothing at all, but I love it! At some point or another we are usually interupted by Jayla fighting for her attention or my order of ice tea from McDonalds (only $1 gets you a large!).
11. I am obsessed with Mia Joie shoes for Lola. In fact, Jessica (designer of Mia Joie) is an inspiration herself and I love reading her blogs! I thought Lola had grown out of them, but MJ is now making shoes/boots up to a size 8! Think her customers kids are growing right along with her company!
12. My brother, Joel, is in the ARMY and is currently serving our country in Bahrain. I miss him and love him. If you pray - keep him in your prayers and ask that God keeps him safe.
13. Kyan has Chad's personality to a T. He, however, is incredibly emotional and sensitive, just like his mommy.
14. Lola's personality is just like mine. She is a drama queen (yes, I am admitting that I am one). She is a DIVA! Thank goodness Kyan (who is like Chad) can put up with her so well. He has incredible patience and always caters to her needs. That being said - she IS good at sharing her candy with him!
15. I played basketball in high school. Even made varsity my freshman year (yes, tooting own horn). After tearing my ACL and having multiple surgeries, I stuck it out and kept my place on the team! That being said, my senior year (where I didn't see much playing time) the coach went to put me in the game (usually I went in during the 4th quarter) and I went to take off my shooters shirt...or so I though! I forgot that I had already been in the game and that it was off - so, I ended up taking off my jersey instead. I didn't realize it until it was too late! OMG - so embarrassing! I can still remember my coach's head turned to the side (Mr. Hraban) and his hand out in front of me saying, "Jenni NO!" What is worse is that we were getting housed so I ended up being the most exciting part of the game. EVERYONE noticed. I laughed about it yes, but DID NOT want to leave the locker room that night. It softened the blow of the loss for sure!
16. I love the color pink.
17. I met my wonderful husband at a bar. Yes, it is true, we met through mutual friends. That first night he did not think that I was the nicest person in the world - little did he know! Two months later at another friend's birthday party, we re-met and has has been stuck with me since! I LOVE YOU CHAD.
18. Family is everything to me. I love the holidays, where we are always surrounded by them.
19. I believe anything you tell me, even if it is not true.
20. I forget things easily, little things, and I will ask again. Usually Chad gets the wrath of that one the most! However, I can remember names and faces very well!
21. I love my blog! I have been neglecting it since Rosie J. has been keeping me busy, but I promise to be better when things slow down! I also love to makeover blogs - most recent one I helped out with was my friend Sarah's, whose last name I seemed to have forgotten in a matter of days since redoing?! **Refer to #20, oh wait...I said I remembered names easily - guess that meant first names, not last! DUH!
22. I am obsessed with these baby crocheted cocoons for newborn photos! I am ordering one soon (like today or tomorrow) for when I take pictures of the new babies - now I just have to decide which one to choose!
23. I love my Blackberry, although compared to Chad's Droid, it is really slow! I don't care, I still love it and it's hot pink case!
24. I am trying to figure out my migraines - seems like they are getting worse! I went to the doctor this week and think we have it figured out that they are rebound headaches, tricking my body into thinking I have a migraine. Solution - don't take migraine medicine, yeah right! I can't function when my head feels that way. Last time I went without it I ended up i the hospital. So now, I am going to try Topomax, a medicine that prevents them - or is suppposed to. Fingers crossed that it works for me. I have also been throwing around the idea of seeing a chiropractor instead of more pills - I already take them everyday for high blood pressure. I am a mess.
25. My BIGGEST pet peeve is when I sneeze and no one says "Bless You". It drives me crazy. When Chad wants to get under my skin, he won't say it when I do. It is a good thing that I have trained my kids so well - they do it for him!
Ok - so now it is your turn, if you want to play, I TAG YOU! This was actually really fun and I wrote down the first twenty five things that popped into my head! Bet some of you learned something new about me that you didn't know before! If you play let me know so that I can visit you too and learn something new! Have fun being random!

definitely go to the chiropractor for the migraines!
i had never ( and hope to never again) had a migraine until a couple months ago. it lasted 6 straight weeks, and varied in degrees. the first and only person i went to about it was a chiropractor. i only went twice though, ryan wouldn't let me go again.
thankfully it went away, thought i'd be stuck with it forever.
if your ins covers it, for sure go.
I have already been to one actually - they have made a few adjustments, but i am going to go back to see if they can maybe target it more!
Jenni, these are awesome! I LOVED reading them! Thanks so much for doing it....it helps me know you better. :) And your basketball story had my DYING! ha!
My husband orders from vista print for the youth all the time, as does our church. Another good one is PS print, but I'm kinda thinking they might be CA only? Anyway, they will turn out great! :)
Your family picture is OUTSTANDING! I love the peace love joy you put on it. Hopefully that's the one you chose for your Christmas pictures because its just darling.
Thanks again for playing! xoxo
Hi Jenni! Did you know I stalk your blog all the way from Wahoo? Your mom got me hooked! Anyway, was going to tell you that I took topomax last year or the year before. I didn't have migraines while on it... but it made soda pop taste like the most awful thing in the world. (minor side effect) I had some other side effects on it too that caused me to discontinue it. I guess there's always pros and cons to each drug. Anyway - good luck! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE your blog! check out my blog sometime. I don't update but like once every other month... sheilainthekitchen.blogspot.com
Jenni!
Fun list :)
I used to have really really HORRIBLE Migranes. A few years ago I did the Master Cleanse fast. I felt great after the cleanse and the GREATEST perk since doing it is NO MIGRANES. Not a one. I used to have one every month. Something to think about :)
I love this post and now that school is almost officialy over I might have to participate.
The basketball story had me cracking up. AND whatever you do DON'T cut your hair-HA!! I too love our morning chats, they are always much needed. I think we talk for hours, if it wasn't for our minor interruptions. One of the things I love the most about you :).
I think you are right about Lola having your personality and Kyan having dad's. It is the cutest thing ever, and what makes your family so perfect!
Now with those migranes, can't really (personally) recommend anything. But I have a friend that suggested to Jearel to get Botax injections. She gets extreme ones like Jearel and said they have kept her migrane free for 5 years now. Jearel would do it, but he is kind of a baby with needles and he is lazy. I always tell him preventative matinence works wonders. So I think you are on the right track!!
great post...i tooo absolutely hate the no bless u and brandon does the same thing lol...and i think it wil b great for u to have long hair...even tho short looks awesome too..u def are one of those peeps who can do both....im the same way i talk to my mom on the phone every day she is like the only person i talk to on the phone these days lol.....im such a txt fan....plus im always runnin a mile a min lol....i think im goin to do this post when i have a chance way cute...cant wait for sun..photos and the gift exchange! yay
I can totally relate about the "bless you" thing! I was SO happy that Camden's baby-sitter taught her that, because there is NEVER a time we sneeze that she doesn't say it!
Also, you & I BOTH love our parenthesis. I just think they are SO effective (if you know what I mean.) hee hee
OMG I hate when people don't say bless you too!!!! My family freaks at me when i sneeze and they don't say bless you so i yell at them! lol...it's like the most annoying thing ever!!! :D
