To say that we have been busy lately is an understatement. So,I would say that we took a time-out tonight, enjoyed the nice weather outside and watched as Kyan practiced his skills on his new skateboard (thanks Uncle B.)! He was so excited and you could see his confidence growing with each step he took! I love that he thinks it is so cool to wear protection right now, he geared up with hand, elbow, and knee pads! We could not find his helmet to save our lives, so no tricks were attempted tonight! Just getting a feel for his board!
Meanwhile, Lola pushed around her baby in the stroller!

...after she finished making a mess of the rocks, she spotted out of the corner of her eye that the skateboard was left alone unattended and hurried at her shot to try it!
NOT a good idea! She actually got up and said, "BONK!" No harm done this time and unfortunately I don't think that one did her in enough to keep her away, so I will have to find a better way to distract her next time!
Kyan was getting the hang of it and thought he was so cool when his two feet were on the board!
I snapped tons of photos tonight - I have tons to play with in photoshop now too, something I don't often do too much of when it comes to my own children, something that I promise myself to get better at doing. Seems to always happen that way, but here is one that I will show you that I did change in a few ways - now I have options when I print!
The top is the original photo straight out of the camera - not complaining.
The bottom four are different actions that I used on Photoshop to enhance the picture! I must say that I think the last one is my favorite, but then again, it is Old Skool (my personal favorite action of all time, ever to use!)

Kyan looks so cute on his cool new skateboard. Uncle B did a great job!! I think he may have to buy one for Lola now ;).

Jenni - Hi there! Amy has been telling me for a while now that you and I should get together. Let's do it! Our boys could skateboard together - T is 7 and got a skateboard for Christmas. We live in Gilbert, but you and I could meet at the Pheonix Zoo or something (I haven't yet experianced an AZ summer, so I could just be talking gibberish...) Lets plan to meet in the near future.
