Peanut Butter Sandwichs

This is both Lola and Kyan's new favorite thing to eat: Peanut Butter Sandwich! Kyan adds bananas to his!

Lola sat in the corner of the kitchen on Kyan's step stool and ate her sandwich!

Kyan enjoyed his sandwich on the couch!

Scare Do!

Like Mommy - Like Daughter

The Phoenix Zoo

Kyan with his stunna shades on at the zoo!

Our Family

Daddy and Kyan

Yes, I was the mother that forgot a bathing suit for the water splash (this was one of the reasons we wanted to go to the zoo today - I felt so stupid). So I did what any other mother would do...stripped her down and let her run around in her diaper. Ok, maybe not any mother, but she was determined to walk around in that mess, and there is no stopping her. She is obsessed with her belly button and walked around with her fingers in it!

Kyan really didn't want anything to do with the water, here he is just trying to wash his hands from popsicle juice. He would rather have played in the mud!

Grandma spoiled Lola with a popsicle and she went to town on it!

After the popsicle, Grandma took Lola really close to one of the sprinklers and it blasted her right in the face when she wasn't expecting it. She was so sad when she realized what happened.

Mud

More mud with a new friend he just met!

The whole family at the very end of our journey! That is why half of the kids are paying attention! We had a fun day!

Yesterday we met Chad's grandma and cousin at the zoo. Jess was in town from California for her birthday and grandma thought that a trip to the zoo with everyone might be a fun way to get together! Rae Lynn and her kids came, along with Chad's mama! It was a beautiful morning and a great way to get some exercise!

Rockstar in the making!

Just like any other day in my world, I drive into the garage from a long day at work to music blasting (and no, it wasn't coming from my own car). I was really confused and wondered what the HECK was going on inside my home! I walked in very slow only to discover Chad, Kyan, and Lola rocking out! Chad was on the guitar, Kyan on the drums, and Lola trying to drum with her brother. It was the cutest thing that I have ever seen!

Ok, so let me explain the whole no shirt on thing - Chad insists that the drummer wears no shirt and he just switched to the guitar, so that is why the no shirt on Chad. Now when we play, Kyan starts off on the drums, so his shirt starts out off! Kyan is only allowed to wear "rock shorts" too, so what he has on doesn't pass the test anymore, he has to wear shorts like his daddy has on. Chad's rules, I just follow them! And no - I have never played the drums. I am sticking to vocals and the guitar! HA!

I didn't join in on their fun that night, but did the night before, where they begged me to be the singer in their "band". I was honored! Well, what they didn't know is that I would be addicted! I made them keep playing, and had Lola not needed to go to bed, we would have kept rockin'.

Before her bedtime, Lola was getting down to our music we were producing! She is a dancing queen and loves to shake it!

I feel like I am a rockstar in the making and it has been me that has been begging all night to play! Who would have ever known?

Missing Grandpa "B"

As most of you know, Chad's dad passed away last week after his battle with prostate cancer and his funeral was held yesterday. It couldn't have been a more beautiful day to celebrate his life. He was an amazing father, uncle, brother, grandpa, and friend to so many. I couldn't have asked for a better father-in-law and was blessed to have him in my life for as long as I did. Words can't express how much I already miss him.

Just want to thank all of you that have been so giving in this difficult time. I am blessed to have amazing family and friends that I was able to lean on. So many prayers, thoughts, and dinners were sent our way and that means more than you will know.

Rae Lynn was able to capture some amazing photos yesterday and you can view them by going to her website: Reflective Photography. Click on client viewing, then Roseland. You will need to type in the password, which is roseland (I know - how original...just kidding, love you for doing this Rae). From there you can see Brion's day.

Golf Lessons

Grandpa Jerry suggested golf lessons for Kyan last weekend and gave us the information on where and when to sign him up - he even paid for his first lesson today! Kyan loves being on the golf course, so I figured he would love it as soon as they started! Lola was running up and down the hills and having just as much fun as her brother! It was a fun family afternoon.

She wouldn't let go of her golf ball!

All of the kids taking lessons today!

When not holding the golf ball, her snack bowl was in her hand!

Working on their putting stance.

Watching the teacher.

Lola chasing birds! She LOVES birdies and says "brrrrdies" whenever she sees them (or chases them)!

Big Swing!

Hanging out watching brother!

This was comical! She pushes her stroller all over the place and was so entertained by it! She loves to push everything!

Swimming at the Pointe

This afternoon, after Lola woke up from her nap, we went to swim at my parent's condo at the Pointe! It was a blast! Both of the kids had a great time splashing around with their grandparents! When we got inside, Kyan layed down and crashed out! Lola fell asleep in the car!
