A Night out with the Creels

Lola and I

Kyan, Camden, and Lola - the three of them together were fun to watch! Kyan makes everyone giggle and Camden fell right into his charm!

The girls and their lemons!

Camden loving her some lemon!

Once again, Kyan being silly and Lola loving it!

How can anyone resist that face?

Lola pointing the way that she wants to go!

Kyan and I

Oh how they love each other! I could watch them play together for hours.

Snuggle

Lola getting ready to pounce!

Sand. It was everywhere and both the kids had to take a bath when they got home!

More sand - MESSY!

Last night we met up very last minute with our friends - Michael, Candis, and Camden. Like so last minute I was actually running a couple of errands and was about to order Chad food kind of last minute! But, that is how I LOVE to roll. So we met in the middle at Salty's for a little Mexican food! It was yummy and we loved being able to spend time with the Creels! Thanks for the invite!

You know you have a friend when...

...you wake up in the morning and you take a shower and get ready for your day and you realize (as you are putting on make-up) that your nose ring is missing, and you are so stupid and threw your extra ones away because you never change it and panic steps in and you don't want your piercing to close ('cause that is the last one you have left from your young and dumb days - HA!) but you can't go to the store because you have to teach today and then you have a meeting after school (to become a trainer for the district on the new reading program - woohoo) and then a dance recital later that night for former students and what are you going to do???

Remember to breath, then call Susie, like you do every morning on the way to school (she is up with the birds - Jay doesn't sleep in too late, plus she is always studying and who doesn't need a break from that every once in a while?) You BEG her to please run to Claire's this morning and pick up some new nose rings (more like studs) for you this morning as soon as they open (still panicking that the piercing is going to close) and then BEG her even more to drop them by school during prep!

Then wait for her to say yes and she does!

Thank you Sue! Nose ring (stud) went in like a glove and I am not panicking anymore! Happy Thursday - hope some of those shoes fit Jayla!

Cinco de Mayo

Susie and I

Sue and Jearel

Chad and Adam - Chad would NOT take a normal picture with him...go figure, must be something having to do with the sasquash!

Me and my boo

Susie, Jearel, Me, Chad, and Adam

Today, for happy hour, we met Susie, Jearel, and Adam up at Sandbar for Cinco de Mayo! Yep ladies and gentlemen - I went out...on a weekday! Who would ever believe it, I know. Chad's mom and dad watched the kiddos for us so that we could meet up! Big thanks to them! Had fun and had to listen once again to stories of the sasquash! HA! Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Date Night!

Chad and I - he HATES that I blog everything and calls me such a dork when I beg him to take a picture just so that I can blog about it later! Oh well...I like it and when mama is happy, everyone is happy!!!

Kyan wanted in on the picture - so we took one with him too!

Grandma with the kids - she made sure to feed them as we were leaving!

Tonight I got to go out with Chad while the best mom on the entire planet watched the kids!

Before I talk about out date - let me first talk about my mother. She is the greatest...I called her on Thursday and told her that Chad has to work all day Saturday and wouldn't it be so fun if she flew in for the weekend! She was supposed to come on mother's day, and still might, but flew out this weekend, really for about 36 hours! I picked her up Friday night, we did the spray tan (which was hilarious, my mom was screaming as it sprayed her), cleaned this morning and ran errands and took Kyan to golf lessons! Then tonight she watched the kids so Chad and I could have some alone time! After we came home she tried on some of my clothes (so happy to be in the same size again!) and spent a little more quality time together. She has to leave really early tomorrow (alarm is set for 4:30am) as she is flying stand by and that was the only flight that was for sure clear and safe for her to get home and guarantee that she won't miss any work. So I had a blast with the short time that she was here with her and I understand that I am so lucky that my mom (and dad for that matter) have the means to fly out here as often as they do! I love when they come together and I love when they come by themselves, as I get to spend different types of time with them! Thanks to my dad who shipped my mom off to me this weekend and let me have her all to myself!

As for our date - we were going to go see a movie, but then thought that if we get a couple of hours together, lets go somewhere and talk and just be together, not sit in silence for those few hours we get to spend alone. So we decided not to go to the movie, but go to the Yard House at Westgate. We shared some appetizers and talked about everything and nothing at all! Then we walked around what little stores Westgate has open and spoiled Chad with a new pair of shoes, 3 pairs of shorts, and a new t-shirt. I would have kept going, but Chad hates to shop for himself (said I can shop for him when he is not around?) and wanted out, so we headed home! Such a great weekend and I still have one more day left!

Teacher VS. Student Basketball Game

Today some of the teachers at my school took on the 8th grader boys and girls basketball teams! This was so much fun for the entire campus and really is a good time to bond with a lot of the kiddos - both players and fans! Chad brought the kids to come and watch me play and after the game Chad told me that I was Kyan's hero right now! Kyan was so proud that I was out there playing and thought I was the coolest thing since sliced bread! Usually daddy is the cool one so I felt pretty special at the moment! Thanks Thorne for sticking around and taking pics!

One of my students made me a sign! I was so surprised! She even reminded me after the game that she drew birds on it, as she knows how much I love them! I was the only teacher that had a sign!

Defense - it is what I am good at! In high school I was always a better defender than I was on offense!

Waiting for them to bring the ball down the court after a free throw.

Here I am on offense!

Ummm...I think I am passing the ball - at least I hope cause that form looks bad, and I don't think that a shot a basket the entire time! The plan was to get it into the big guys!

Defense! Defense! GO! GO!

The TEACHERS, we look unstoppable huh?! HA! Some of us were a little worried we were going to need an oxygen tank, me included. I work out almost every single day, most times twice a day, but basketball is a whole different type of running!

My three favorite people in the entire planet - cheering on mommy!

The final score - TEACHERS were the home team, STUDENTS were the visitors...that is right - we crushed them!

These are some of my favorite girls that I teach! They are so special to me and I was so happy that they cheered me on! So bummed that I am the only one not looking at the camera!

We snuck in a family photo after the game! I was so excited when the three of them showed up to watch! I tried not to make it a big deal or not if they came - but was THRILLED that they made it! (Never fails that someone isn't looking at the camera - oh well!)

Rocked Out!

In another Roseland family jam session on Sunday - we actually "rocked" Lola to sleep!

Chuck T's

Both my kids are now sporting Chucks!
