Chad and I - he HATES that I blog everything and calls me such a dork when I beg him to take a picture just so that I can blog about it later! Oh well...I like it and when mama is happy, everyone is happy!!!

Grandma with the kids - she made sure to feed them as we were leaving!Tonight I got to go out with Chad while the best mom on the entire planet watched the kids!
Before I talk about out date - let me first talk about my mother. She is the greatest...I called her on Thursday and told her that Chad has to work all day Saturday and wouldn't it be so fun if she flew in for the weekend! She was supposed to come on mother's day, and still might, but flew out this weekend, really for about 36 hours! I picked her up Friday night, we did the spray tan (which was hilarious, my mom was screaming as it sprayed her), cleaned this morning and ran errands and took Kyan to golf lessons! Then tonight she watched the kids so Chad and I could have some alone time! After we came home she tried on some of my clothes (so happy to be in the same size again!) and spent a little more quality time together. She has to leave really early tomorrow (alarm is set for 4:30am) as she is flying stand by and that was the only flight that was for sure clear and safe for her to get home and guarantee that she won't miss any work. So I had a blast with the short time that she was here with her and I understand that I am so lucky that my mom (and dad for that matter) have the means to fly out here as often as they do! I love when they come together and I love when they come by themselves, as I get to spend different types of time with them! Thanks to my dad who shipped my mom off to me this weekend and let me have her all to myself!
As for our date - we were going to go see a movie, but then thought that if we get a couple of hours together, lets go somewhere and talk and just be together, not sit in silence for those few hours we get to spend alone. So we decided not to go to the movie, but go to the Yard House at Westgate. We shared some appetizers and talked about everything and nothing at all! Then we walked around what little stores Westgate has open and spoiled Chad with a new pair of shoes, 3 pairs of shorts, and a new t-shirt. I would have kept going, but Chad hates to shop for himself (said I can shop for him when he is not around?) and wanted out, so we headed home! Such a great weekend and I still have one more day left!

to funny we went on date nite fri and were at desert ridge and i wnted b to get clothes and he said no that its easier and better whn i jst get thm whn hes not around lol...gotta lv moms mine is my saint savior and bff...couldnt do without her...date nite is a must at least once mo to keep us mommys and daddys sane...and ur rite the talkn is the best jst connecting....ok so now we need our date nite...let me knw wht time ths wk.....i havent been sick n few days so im thinkn thts over and im ready to rock lol
chad looks like it pained him terribly to get a picture! ryan's the same. and he also thinks i'm the biggest nerd for the blog. i don't care, i love it.

Hurray for date night! We kick the movie out of date night a lot too. It's so much better to just talk sometimes. That's so nice your parents get to visit so often!

Aren't Mothers the best? They are always willing and able to go out of their way for their kids. I guess that's the reason behind their special day.
I am so glad you and Chad go some alone time. See there is a reason why I didn't get your text on time ;).
And yes you are very lucky that is it so easy for your parents to get out here as much as they do. I wish my parents could see Jay more. Either way I do know how hard it is to not have them close.
