JayLo @ the Little Gym

Today JayLo had their free trial class at the Little Gym! It was a fun 45 minutes with the girls! I think that they will continue to do this class together after vacation!

The girls hanging out before class!

Jayla and mommy Susie

Lola and I - she doesn't like the posed pictures and was trying to get away from me!

Lola with her new Little Gym sippy cup!

This was one of Lola's favorite spots today - the big tire mat! She crawled around it and through it several times!

Lola has been doing this crazy tongue thing for awhile - finally caught it on camera!

Jayla checking out the bubbles on the big red mat!

An afternoon at the Water Park!

After the Little Gym we headed to my parents to enjoy some time in the water! There are a bizillion pictures (I took close to 200 pictures), as it was too hard to narrow it down, so enjoy (we sure did)!

Lola and Jayla had to test the water before they got in to make sure it wasn't too cold!

Splash!

Oops - Lola lost her balance and fell. She got her head a little wet and wasn't sure what to think so she headed to the chair to think about it with her brother!

Susie and Jayla were the first brave souls to try the slide out! Looks like mommy liked it more!

I love this picture of Jayla! Very summery!

For the first portion of our day at the water park, Lola enjoyed walking around and watching people in the water! This is how she has been the few times that we have been there, finally today she was brave enough to man the waters! Then she didn't want to get out!

Being silly with brother!

She would dip her fingers/hand in the water and then lick it! She also did this with her binkie too!

The three muchkins! I think they were planning something!

Kyan showing off his swimming skills without any floaties!

Grandma and Kyan! He loved to practice swimming to her!

Mommy and Lola enjoying the water!

Grandma with her two grandbabies! Boy did they have fun with her! Grandma finally got used to Lola (of course on their last day in town - go figure)!

Kyan helping Lola in the water - he is so patient with her that it melt my heart! How did I ever get so lucky?

Grandma and Lola

Kyan being silly and having a blast!

Down the water slide we went! Surprisingly Lola did NOT scream, in fact, I think she kind of enjoyed herself! One time was enough for her though, I didn't dare push my luck!

Thank you so much mom, Kyan, Lola, Susie, and Jayla for a great afternoon by the water! We couldn't think of a better way to spend our afternoon! Love you!

Happy 23rd Birthday Kristen (aka Auntie Kiki)

Chad and I arrived early of course so we waited and took pictures before everyone else got there!

SHOCK!

She said there was NO WAY she was getting on the saddle!

The waiter was teasing her!

Tonight we celebrated Chad's sister Kristen's 23rd birthday at the Texas Roadhouse! It was a nice early evening out and was celebrated with just us adults - no children allowed! It was hilarious when they came to sing her Happy Birthday, they wanted Kristen to get on a saddle that was placed on a wooden stand, but as you can see in the pictures - she refused! It made for a great laugh though!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

"I'm becoming a MAN!"

Kyan was discussing how much hair he has on his legs and arms in the car yesterday and I said that that was a sign of becoming a MAN! HA! He then told me about the hair on his face (like baby hair) and said that he was becoming even more of a man when that happens. So he went to the Little Gym and told EVERYONE that he was becoming a man! OMG, it was hilarious when his teachers told me that one! He then told his daddy when he got home! I am sure he will tell everyone he comes in contact with today his big news!

Summer Camp @ the Little Gym!

Kyan attended his first day of summer camp at the Little Gym in Litchfield Park! The theme this week is Wild Wild West, so when I picked him up today after three hours of play, he was so excited to show me the craft he made - a cowboy vest! He put it on and sported it while he got a stamp! He is going to go back to camp tomorrow and next Wednesday and Thursday as well!

Lola is making her debut at the Little Gym on Friday morning! Kyan will be watching from the sidelines on that one! You get one free trial class before you join, so I want to make sure that she loves it before we spend the money to put her in the class! The classes are a little bit cheaper in the summer, as sessions are shorter (10 weeks instead of 20), but worth every penny in my opinion! I really think that they helped build Kyan's confidence when he did them! So I am hoping that it will be the same for Lola! We are hoping that Jayla joins us for her free class that day as well!

During Kyan's camp time, Lola and I ran a few errands and then met up with two of my former students at Starbucks (I am not a fan of that place, I like tea, not coffee). One of the two girls I have kept in touch with since she graduated and keeps me posted on what is going on in her life, and always comes to school to see me when I have detention or homework lab! It was nice to see both of you today (Destiny and Sam) and I can't wait until I get to meet up with you again for more talks! Thank you for sharing your lives with me! It is one of the reasons that makes teaching so amazing, making connections with kids, even after I am not their teacher any more! Now I am like a second mother and I wouldn't trade it for anything! Love you girls!

Hanging out with the grandparents!

Lola loves her some Grandpa Jerry! She screams for him everytime he comes over or everytime we go over to their house! It is really funny! She, along with Kyan, will miss them when they leave!

Chad put together 2 out of the 6 chairs to go with the new outside dining table at my parents! Lola loved one of them because it spun around! She couldn't get enough and the picture below shows Chad trying to get her to get off of the thing, but, as you can see, she was not having it!

Kyan got a real basketball hoop and Grandpa and Grandma's place! He loves it so much and even spent the night at their house last night so he could play longer! He thinks he lives with Grandpa and Grandma when they are in town and thinks of his real home as the place where Mommy and Daddy live! But that is just how my parents want it! They don't want him to leave them when they are here!

They were so cute snuggling on the chair together! Love the bottom one especially!

Kyan taking his turn at spinning LoLo (that is what he loves to call her!) in the chair!

Kyan, Grandpa Jerry, Lola, and Grandma Julie

My princess sitting on her chair, each of the kids have their own chair outside and she loves to plop down on hers and watch what is happening!

We have spent much of our time hanging with my parents while they have been in town! My children adore them and are lucky that they get out here as often as they do! My mom was actually out 3 times during the month of May! Now that they have such a beautiful house out at Estrella, my mom is convinced that she wants to be here permantly! Now if I could just convince my dad...

Either way, having them here full time or part time, we have had a blast hanging with them and will spend as much time as we can with them before they head home! Love you and Happy Anniversary today! 31 Years!

Favorite smells

1. I absolutely love the smell of anything Pineapple! Candles, air fresheners, the real mccoy - it doesn't matter, if it is Pineapple, I LOVE IT!

2. The smell of a match as soon as you blow it out! If I am ever around matches (not usually, I have the long lighter thingies now) I always light them just to blow them out!

3. Gasoline

4. Thunderstorms

5. Brittney's perfume - Fantasy. I know what you are thinking...Brittney? Really? But her perfume is to die for and has become gifts for several friends wanting to join Club Britt (Candis!)

These are a few of my favorite smells - what are yours?!
