Summer Camp @ the Little Gym!

Kyan attended his first day of summer camp at the Little Gym in Litchfield Park! The theme this week is Wild Wild West, so when I picked him up today after three hours of play, he was so excited to show me the craft he made - a cowboy vest! He put it on and sported it while he got a stamp! He is going to go back to camp tomorrow and next Wednesday and Thursday as well!

Lola is making her debut at the Little Gym on Friday morning! Kyan will be watching from the sidelines on that one! You get one free trial class before you join, so I want to make sure that she loves it before we spend the money to put her in the class! The classes are a little bit cheaper in the summer, as sessions are shorter (10 weeks instead of 20), but worth every penny in my opinion! I really think that they helped build Kyan's confidence when he did them! So I am hoping that it will be the same for Lola! We are hoping that Jayla joins us for her free class that day as well!

During Kyan's camp time, Lola and I ran a few errands and then met up with two of my former students at Starbucks (I am not a fan of that place, I like tea, not coffee). One of the two girls I have kept in touch with since she graduated and keeps me posted on what is going on in her life, and always comes to school to see me when I have detention or homework lab! It was nice to see both of you today (Destiny and Sam) and I can't wait until I get to meet up with you again for more talks! Thank you for sharing your lives with me! It is one of the reasons that makes teaching so amazing, making connections with kids, even after I am not their teacher any more! Now I am like a second mother and I wouldn't trade it for anything! Love you girls!

i love the little gym, i think it's GREAT for kiddos! i took kylee to a free trial class a few months ago but thought it was too expensive to commit to taking her every week. but thankfully the town of gilbert offers one through parks and rec for the summer - 8 weeks for $30 bucks, woo hoo!! we start this coming saturday. hope lola likes it as much as kyan ;-)

Looove Little Gym. The girls i used to nanny for went there for day camp. They loved it. They do great bday parties as well.

If you remember, would you mind checking to see if their location (or other West Valley spots) are hiring. That would be fab!

I can't wait for Fri. I have been dying to start Jay in something like this for awhile, all though I am a bit worried about the pinching. Hopefully this will be the trick to help stop it.

Kyan looks so cute in his cowboy vest. Sounds like they do some pretty creative stuff.

Teachers are awesome, I stayed in touch with a few for years after grade school and high school. Not so much anymore, but it is nice that you do this. I know they mean just as much to you, as you to them. Starbucks is my fav!! You should try their iced white chocolate mocha. Yummy!!
