Walking the Dogs
My parents have been in town for the past 10 days, and both of my kids have been lovin' every minute of them being here, especially Lola. Every morning when she wakes up, she asks where they are?! They have been so helpful, cleaning, cooking, and watching the kiddos so that I can get a few extra photo shoots in - we have been lucky to have them here this long and will be sad to bring them to the airport this evening!
Earlier last week, they took their two dogs, Nelly and Lucy, and our dog, Fletcher for a walk! Lola was so excited to go with them! The walk consisted of all a block, where she spotted the park and had to stop and play! No complaints from grandma or grandpa - they were happy to watch her climb up and down the equipment!
Thank you mom and dad (grandma and grandpa) for all that you do for our family! Once again, I wish you were closer to us all the time, but we will take you when we can get you and are so lucky that you can make it out here as often as you do! Love you so much!

Second Annual GIRLS ONLY Christmas Party!!!
Last year began our tradition - GIRLS ONLY Christmas Party - with 3 of my very close girlfriends and their beautiful daughters. You see, we all had girls within the same year, Lola and Jayla in February (the same day as a matter of fact), Camden in July, and Avery just made it in December! What a great excuse to get together with the mommies and girls for a little play time and gift exchange! I hope that we continue this party every year!
This year we switched it up a little bit, new house = new rules! Ok, not really, it just ended up that way. Susie and Jayla were the hostesses with the mostesses (not a word I know, but it is right now) today and we all brought one gift and drew names when we got there to see which gift we would be opening! Last year we said we were going to make the presents and that we had a whole year to put it together...well, a year came and went, and we didn't make anything! Life got busy - so we all bought our presents, maybe next year??? Anywho, Lola got new Vans shoes that she can't wait to start sporting! They are beyond cute! Thank you Avery!
All of the girls! Thank you Jearel for taking our picture before you snuck out of the house!
The Girls!!! This year they were serious! Wonderpets theme song popped into my mind as soon as I got done snapping pictures! We sang it afterwards!

This one cracks me up - they all have their own agenda, and poor Camden is getting hit on the nose with Avery's toy wrench!

Camden was the cup stealer of the day - think she tried drinking out of every cup! I caught her on camera with at least two!
Jayla hasn't used a binky since she has been like 10 months old - Lola got her a special gift (as Susie and I like to think that they have a special little bond since they are born on the same day - maybe we secretly wish them to, either way...) one in which has a binky - Jayla wasted no time putting it in her mouth and pretending it was hers! It was so funny!
These two girls have the crazy hair of the group - Lola's is straight as a stick and Camden's is curly, however, both are CRAZY, but cute!

Jayla's pink chair is very special to her and Lola loves it too! Before Lola comes over Jayla is usually telling her mommy and daddy, "No Lola chair!" or something to that effect. Not only did Jayla share her chair very well, but she also shared her pony baby with Lola too! Think they will make wonderful babysitters someday! It was really cute to watch them take care of their "babies"!
And with all of those cute pictures where everyone is so happy comes this - she can turn so quick lemme tell you! That, my blog friends, is my lovely Lolita! In NO WORDS at all, she was telling me that it was naptime, please mommy pack up our things, we need to go! HA!
Thank you Susie and Jayla for hosting our wonderful Christmas party this year! Thank you to all the girls for setting aside time in busy schedules (this I know) to get together and keep our tradition going! Lola and I had so much fun with you today! We love you ~ Merry Christmas!
PS - We call next year!!!

Kyan's Holiday Party @ Preschool
Wednesday afternoon Kyan's Preschool had there Holiday Christmas Party after school. It was so cute! The kids started off the party by singing, "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" to all who attended!
Mrs. Revord and Mrs. Arthur are constantly taking pictures of the kids and surprised us with a very special dvd with all of their photos and video clips (where Kyan had two, the one at the very end - last thing you see - melts my heart) that was set to music! We each got to take one home! Since Chad couldn't make it to the party, we came home and watched it again with he and Lola! Everytime Lola saw a clip of Kyan come up or a picture of him she yelled, "Ky Ky!" She is a very proud sister! What a special day it was for Kyan! I was glad that I was able to get someone to cover the last 30 minutes of my class so that I could hang with Kyan!

25 Random Things About Me - 2009
Ok, so I was tagged by my new blog friend Amy ~ with a little hesitation, I played along! Could I really think of 25 random things about myself? The answer is yes (they were the first twenty five things that popped into my head) so here you go...
1. I love to drink unsweetened ice tea.
2. I am a newbie to the photography world ~ Rosie J. Photography ~ it is my dream to do it as a full time profession sooner rather than later.
3. Four years ago, my car got keyed by three students (no, I don't teach at that school anymore). The damage wasn't really that bad, so instead of using the money to fix it (because yes, I pressed charges) I bought my first "real" camera - my Nikon D40x. Thus began my love for photography. I know use a Nikon D90.
4. I ordered Christmas Post Cards this year from vistaprint.com - cheaper to send out and cheaper to buy! I ordered my Post Cards last night at 10:30 and when I checked this morning they already shipped! Yes, I did pay for them to be rush ordered, BUT, I got 100 of them for free?! So the $27 (or something like that) shipping was not a big deal, because that was all I had to pay for! Ok, I am a liar, I did pay $4.99 to upload my own picture in there - but, for $32, I am not complaining! I have NO CLUE how they are going to really look, guess if you guys don't get one, then you will know! Heehee! Fingers crossed!
5. I write in (parenthesis) a lot! It is usually my thoughts while I am writing whatever it is that I am writing! HA! I get distracted in my side thoughts easily! Now I bet those parts make more sense to you now (or not - heehee).
6. I have been growing out my hair longer than I can remember, then get bored and irritated during that "gross" phase - so I cut it. I can finally say that it is growing!!! I just call Susie right before I go to the salon (really, every time I go to the salon) fo rthe pep talk and her telling me, "DO NOT CUT IT!" She keeps me honest and WILL tell me like it is!
7. I could spend hours on Photoshop! Since learning lots of new tricks (thanks to my sister-in-law Rae Lynn) I can say that I am not afraid of it anymore!
8. I talk to both of my parents on the phone every day! My mom usually multiple times. I love them and wish they lived here in AZ.
9. While growing up, my parents were strict! I HATED them for it during the time, but LOVE them for it now. Rules and structure are important for kids to have!
10. I talk to Susie every morning on my way to work - we can talk about nothing at all, but I love it! At some point or another we are usually interupted by Jayla fighting for her attention or my order of ice tea from McDonalds (only $1 gets you a large!).
11. I am obsessed with Mia Joie shoes for Lola. In fact, Jessica (designer of Mia Joie) is an inspiration herself and I love reading her blogs! I thought Lola had grown out of them, but MJ is now making shoes/boots up to a size 8! Think her customers kids are growing right along with her company!
12. My brother, Joel, is in the ARMY and is currently serving our country in Bahrain. I miss him and love him. If you pray - keep him in your prayers and ask that God keeps him safe.
13. Kyan has Chad's personality to a T. He, however, is incredibly emotional and sensitive, just like his mommy.
14. Lola's personality is just like mine. She is a drama queen (yes, I am admitting that I am one). She is a DIVA! Thank goodness Kyan (who is like Chad) can put up with her so well. He has incredible patience and always caters to her needs. That being said - she IS good at sharing her candy with him!
15. I played basketball in high school. Even made varsity my freshman year (yes, tooting own horn). After tearing my ACL and having multiple surgeries, I stuck it out and kept my place on the team! That being said, my senior year (where I didn't see much playing time) the coach went to put me in the game (usually I went in during the 4th quarter) and I went to take off my shooters shirt...or so I though! I forgot that I had already been in the game and that it was off - so, I ended up taking off my jersey instead. I didn't realize it until it was too late! OMG - so embarrassing! I can still remember my coach's head turned to the side (Mr. Hraban) and his hand out in front of me saying, "Jenni NO!" What is worse is that we were getting housed so I ended up being the most exciting part of the game. EVERYONE noticed. I laughed about it yes, but DID NOT want to leave the locker room that night. It softened the blow of the loss for sure!
16. I love the color pink.
17. I met my wonderful husband at a bar. Yes, it is true, we met through mutual friends. That first night he did not think that I was the nicest person in the world - little did he know! Two months later at another friend's birthday party, we re-met and has has been stuck with me since! I LOVE YOU CHAD.
18. Family is everything to me. I love the holidays, where we are always surrounded by them.
19. I believe anything you tell me, even if it is not true.
20. I forget things easily, little things, and I will ask again. Usually Chad gets the wrath of that one the most! However, I can remember names and faces very well!
21. I love my blog! I have been neglecting it since Rosie J. has been keeping me busy, but I promise to be better when things slow down! I also love to makeover blogs - most recent one I helped out with was my friend Sarah's, whose last name I seemed to have forgotten in a matter of days since redoing?! **Refer to #20, oh wait...I said I remembered names easily - guess that meant first names, not last! DUH!
22. I am obsessed with these baby crocheted cocoons for newborn photos! I am ordering one soon (like today or tomorrow) for when I take pictures of the new babies - now I just have to decide which one to choose!
23. I love my Blackberry, although compared to Chad's Droid, it is really slow! I don't care, I still love it and it's hot pink case!
24. I am trying to figure out my migraines - seems like they are getting worse! I went to the doctor this week and think we have it figured out that they are rebound headaches, tricking my body into thinking I have a migraine. Solution - don't take migraine medicine, yeah right! I can't function when my head feels that way. Last time I went without it I ended up i the hospital. So now, I am going to try Topomax, a medicine that prevents them - or is suppposed to. Fingers crossed that it works for me. I have also been throwing around the idea of seeing a chiropractor instead of more pills - I already take them everyday for high blood pressure. I am a mess.
25. My BIGGEST pet peeve is when I sneeze and no one says "Bless You". It drives me crazy. When Chad wants to get under my skin, he won't say it when I do. It is a good thing that I have trained my kids so well - they do it for him!
Ok - so now it is your turn, if you want to play, I TAG YOU! This was actually really fun and I wrote down the first twenty five things that popped into my head! Bet some of you learned something new about me that you didn't know before! If you play let me know so that I can visit you too and learn something new! Have fun being random!

Our Family Pictures

This evening we attempted family pictures - I have been so busy, that I almost forgot about my own! My girlfriend Angela met up with us at the Wigwam Resort to hopefully get a Christmas card photo in! Low and behold she did it - Lola cried at the beginning and Kyan lasted all of 10 minutes before he had a meltdown! BUT...we got some really cute ones! Next year I will plan better and get them done earlier in a location that I love even more - this years will just have to do! As you can see ~ old school photos, they just didn't look right in full color! Thanks again Angela, can't wait to do yours on Saturday!
