Recently, Kyan has expressed interest on a daily basis on wanting to start Karate, there is a place not to far from us, on the way home from school that offers classes for all ages, so we stopped by on Thursday and they actually had class that night that they invited Kyan to come back and try it out to see if he liked it! He instantly fell in love and we knew that he would want to be back! So he will be going to Tae Kwan Do classes, not Karate, which I am learning the differences slowly, three times a week! Seems to some like that could be too many, but Kyan is showing such interest and the second we leave asks how many more sleeps until he comes back! So we are going to go with it until he shows that he isn't interested anymore! The Master instructor talked to me after class and told me that he thought Kyan was very focus and paid attention very well, and to let him work with him for a month in the class that he is in and then he wants to move him up to the next leveled class!
Saturday, Kyan got his uniform, a Dobak (which we have been calling a Gi because of the Karate thing) and couldn't wait to put it on for class! He looked so cute!
Lola herself really wanted to go into class with Kyan and said she could be good (she wants to do everything he does) but she is too little! Instead, she was entertained by the cash register that the lady gave her to play with. She will not be going with us unless she absolutely has to from now on (which will be on Saturday, because hubs has to work). An hour is too long for her to sit there and not cause trouble!
This week was all about FOCUS and at the end of class, Kyan got a piece of tape on his belt to show just how focused he is! He was so excited to come and show us after class was over!

Yay Kyan!! Sounds like he is having so much fun and he looks so cute in his outfit!!
Love Lola too and cannot believe how big she is getting!! They grow up way too fast Jenni!! xo
Love your kids names and your blog is just too cute too! Good luck on the tae kwan do, he looks adorable in his little outfit!
Awww, Angel was the SAME way about tae kwan do!! He couldn't wait until class again!!! My problem was I joined a place that asked for money every time we went to class....on silly stuff! A bookbag with all this safety gear ($120 later) gloves ($80 later) shin guards ($80 later) tests every 6 weeks ($85 later) trust me, there's more!!! All of that on top of the monthly class fee!!! We couldn't afford it! At first it was fine....until the other costs started coming along!! I hope this place is better about that:) Plus I had Princeton and Paris to keep occupied for over an hr!!! I thought I was going to lose my mind! So now i need to find another hobby for Angel:)
He looks so cute! Now Bacon and i realllly have to watch out for him when he's wrestling with us! haha (:
he looks so happy!
i remember myself in lola's shoes, both of my older brothers did tae kwan do.
hope he continues to love it!
A Dobak- who knew??! haa
He looks adorable, and glad he has something he enjoys like that. I showed Michael this post, and he got all emo- he was like, "I wanted to do karate SOO bad when I was little, but my parents couldn't afford it!?" Poor Miguel.

Go Kyan!! Just make sure he keeps those moves to himself. I'm afraid he might karate chop me in the face, like my brother use to, and as Kyan displayed at out
4th of July party...HEE HE!
Kyan looks so cute in his Dobak. Not sure if I told you this, but Jearel took Tae Kwan Do like 4 years ago, and he looked so HOT in his Dobak (I just now learned that name). I should make him put it back on, and you know make a baby (TMI-I know).
Also, I miss my little angel pooh, Lola (I miss all the Rosie's). She is getting too big. Please let us come visit SOON!!! *TEARS*
