Teacher Appreciation Week begins tomorrow and I was so excited to work on a few things for Kyan's teacher this weekend! Being a teacher myself, I know how much those little things matter and wish all teachers this week the best week!
The room mom sent out a letter to all of the parents, giving a theme for each day! Days one and two are made (I will add pictures as we get the others made) but I included all five days ideas, just in case you wanted to do something for your child's teacher each day!
Day One: Snack Day
Kyan's teacher happens to LOVE Mountain Dew, (I found a throwback bottle at Target), so we tied the little saying around it, "Thanks for all you "DEW"!

Day Two: On the Mark! Bring in a classroom supply.

Day Two: On the Mark! Bring in a classroom supply.
We chose a pencils for two reasons. First, I saw what ellie g did over at less cake {more frosting} with her pencil bouquet (she has a great tutorial and printable if you don't want to hand make your own) and I fell in love! Thank you for inspiring me to make one for my son's teacher! Second, Kyan comes home with new pencils from his teacher all the time, so I figured this would be a gift that keeps on giving!
Day Three: That's Amore
Donate your favorite Italian themed item (and recipe) for the Teacher Appreciation Luncheon. We snuck in time to make Aunt Jan's secret sauce recipe w/ hot Italian sausage tonight (this is now Monday, not Sunday...remember, I said I would add pictures as I went along and created)! It tastes better after sitting for 24-48 hours anyway to let all of the flavors blend together!
You want in on the secret? Click here for deliciousness!!!

Day Four: You're Noteworthy
Donate a paper supply (note pads, post-it notes, construction paper, copy paper, etc.) to the classroom. I haven't figured out how to make this "cute", so if anyone has any ideas, please let me know! It will crush me to just hand over some paper without a catchy little saying!
Day Five: Spread Some Sunshine
Write a note and draw a picture telling your teacher why they are appreciated!
Don't forget to THANK a teacher this week!

I love teacher appreciation week (because I am a teacher!) Your room mom had such fun themes! I love what you did with the Mountain Dew note...so clever!
Those are AWESOME ideas! And not just "dust collectors"-after all, how many mugs can a person have?!
Saving this list! Not a teacher-but work at a church with a preschool---and the teachers and kids come visit me from time to time! Thanks for sharing! Blessings, Sharon
I can't wait to do stuff for Avery's teachers when she gets older!...How exciting!! I love your ideas! So crafty of course too :)....I hope you get great stuff too from your kiddo's because u deserve it!!
Ok, so I'm totally stealing this awesome idea for my Realtors/Loan Officers (except I will do a pen bouquet!)
Thanks for posting this! Love it.
great ideas! Thanks!
LOVE the Mt. Dew idea. Wish I'd saw this before I left for the grocery store. Might have to go back before the week is up though :)
As for paper ideas. I'm no help for cute sayings, but maybe a notepad that has the teachers inital on it? You are crafty enough you could probably make one. I do a post it note cover & matching pen (RSVP pen)that goes over well. Cut cardstock 3x8.5 score at 3in, 3.5in, 6.5in & 7in. Fold over post it note & the part that is from 7in to 8.5in will be the flap that folds over top. Cut another piece of pretty paper to layer over that part & cut a circle velcro sticker in half so it has a closure. Use same pretty paper for the RSVP pen, (don't have measurements) & roll up & insert till ink will go in & screw back on top.
Oh & I usually glue the post it note down so it stays.
Great ideas!!! I know the teacher loved all of the thoughtfulness you put into her gifts. Would love for you to drop by the Tuesday To Do party and share them!

LOVE the Mountain Dew one! I just baked four dozen cupcakes to bring into Leila's school tomorrow for all of the teachers and staff...I may have saved one or two (or six) for us, though. LOL!
Great ideas. Love the Mountain Dew gift and pencils. My daughter is graduating this year. End of an era but I'll share this with my other daughter. She's just starting with her children.
Followed you here from The Girl Crafty.
