Loooooooooong Overdue!

So it has been a busy two weeks and I haven't found a whole lot of time to post....so, sit back and enjoy the show, this is a looooooooooooong one! Thought it would be easier to just do it all at once, in pieces that will hopefully make sense! Thanks for the patience!

We started off my week off of school break with Kyan getting sick early Sunday morning at 2:30. He was screaming mommy, I thought he just had a bad dream until I saw him and realized that he threw up in his bed. Poor thing and poor mommy - I do HORRIBLE with puke and called for Chad. He is AMAZING - and got the daddy of the day award for sure. I can clean it, but I just don't know what to do with myself when my kids are actually puking. I feel so helpless and it makes me so sad, so Chad had to take care of Kyan. The 24 hour stomach bug was definately going around, with me getting it on Thursday, so it was obvious what Kyan was sick with. I was hoping that Lola and Chad wouldn't catch it too! We skipped the football game that day against the Bills and took care of the kiddos. By about noon Kyan was feeling pretty good. I was so thankful that I would be hopefully getting a good nights sleep...

...boy was I WRONG! At about midnight, Lola woke up screaming her head off. She has not done this ever - nothing would comfort her. I tried just about everything: bottle, tylenol, rocking chair, laying with her...did I say nothing worked? This went on until about 4:30 in the morning. I had to wake up Chad to take her so that I could get at least an hour of sleep, if I wanted to be any sort of a good mother, before Chad went to work. Went to the doctor that morning and found out that she had a double ear infection and teeth were coming in on the top and the bottom! The first prescription that they gave her didn't end up working, so Thursday we went back to check what was going on, and got a new prescription. So far, so good with that medicine, and she actually takes it really well. I am hoping that it is just her teeth that bother her every once and a while. Poor thing has taken so much medicine over the past two weeks, she even fell asleep one time with the medicine syringe in her little hands! She took it away from me - I guess she didn't want it anymore! She also found comfort while sleeping on her belly!

We also found a little time to be crafty...not as much as I would have liked with Lola wanting to be held constantly while she was sick, but I did get one sign done for my classroom and helped Camille do her daughter to be, Avery's, letters! Camden and Candis even stopped by for a little visit - but had to leave when Camden just wouldn't fall asleep. She likes her own bed!

My parents came into town at the end of the week and my kids got some much needed grandma and grandpa time and vice versa! It is so neat to watch the four of them together, they don't live here - but are here all the time, and it is nice to see faces light up every time they get to see each other.
My brother and his wife and daughter also came to town as a surprise to everyone but my dad, who knew and kept the secret for about two weeks! My mom was so excited, especially to see little miss Ava. Now that they live in North Carolina they don't get to see them as much. Kyan was so happy to see his cousin Ava and got to spend lots of time with her. One of their favorite things to do with grandma and grandpa is to climb the mountain and look for "Indian Poop"! They find it everytime...not exactly sure what this is, but I always hear about it.
Lola has had a major growth spurt these last couple of weeks and has been in need of a couple new outfits as she is now wearing 18-24 months! Grandma took her shopping at Old Navy and bought her a few little things...THANK YOU GRANDMA!!!
Here are a few of my favorite pictures that I took of them together...

Lola had some firsts as well - sand and grass. We went to the park now that it is finally cooling off and played for over an hour. Lola got to put her feet in the sand and the grass! She like the sand so much more than the grass, but played in both very well! Kyan was everywhere - from digging treasures in the sand to walking up the bars to go down the twisty slide! It was fun and nice to get out of the house.
I found time to get stuff together for a garage sale too! My friend Susie and her daughter Jayla came over to help and hang out! She even caught a good mommy and Lola picture for me, one of those rare moments as a mommy where I was caught on camere! "Jay-Lo" were ruinited and had fun together. Lola is fascinated with Jayla's earrings and reaches for them everytime she sees Jayla! They took turns taking naps and did find some time to play together in the playpen Chad brought outside! The sale was a success and I got to hang with the girls, all in all, a great morning!

After the craziness of dealing with Lola when I was off all week - Chad and I got to make it to the Cardinals game on Sunday against the Cowboys! This is how we spend our Sunday's during football season! Season tickets have been our Christmas present for the past three years (and hopefully going on four)! It is our time to get away and enjoy some time together! This particular game was so fun to go to with a Cardinals win in overtime!
