Kyan Update!

Kyan had his 4 year check up yesterday, and it was traumatic! It is so much easier getting shots when he couldn't really fight back! Kyan, fought back. Chad had to hold down his legs, I had to hold his arms down and pry his one arm off of his shoulder to let the nurse actually give him the shots - and not just one shot, four shots! It was horrible, I felt like a bad mom, and I was embarrassed that Kyan was going so crazy. It all started when he got a shot in his bootie when he had pneumonia. From then on, his has been deathly afraid.
But despite the shots, the appointment went great. Kyan had a vision and hearing screening and checked out everywhere else just fine! He was in about the 75 percentile for both height and weight! 42 and 1/4 inches tall and he weighed 40 lbs! He is now all ready for preschool!
I made him fudge (and my mom too, as a thank you for helping out this weekend!) and that is him licking the spoon and loving it!

Awww, poor little guy! This sounds like NO fun. My brother did the same thing until he was like 16 years old. Seriously, I think it's a boy thing. My sis said her boy, Tyler, is so dramatic when shots come. Don't feel like a bad mom. It happens all the time and I'm sure the fuge helped make Kyan happy again. Can you ask him to save me a piece? ;)
