On my way to bed, just one last peek in on them and I find this...
If I could freeze any moment, this would be it, the two of them cuddled up together, asleep in Kyan's room, tonight of all nights, with his little arm draped across his sister's body, like he is protecting her. He has been sharing his little twin bed with Lola because she says she is too scared to sleep in her room. Her big brother is her hero, mine too. I just stood there and watched them forever, I couldn't move.

Awww, I LOVE THEM!! You know this tears at my heart, I just want to be pregnant already so Jayla can have a little snug bug at night. Kyan is such a great brother!!

Seriously Jenni they are too sweet! What a wonderful big brother...You can really tell how much he loves his lil sis.
I have pictures similar to this of me and my brother when we were little. He was always really sweet to me growing up and I was always really bossy to him. I am not sure how he put up with me ;)
My brother and I were the same way. We each had our own rooms, but we would rather be in the same room to sleep. 9 outta 10 times, we slept together, not sure when we grew out of it! We were almost exactly the same age difference as the two of my kids are! It really is perfect.
I think that we are going to be investing in some bunk beds (the ones with the full on bottom and twin on top) so that they can share if they still want to. Then I am going to spray paint Kyan's black bed - turquoise or something - and put it in Lola's room! That is my master plan anyway, not sure if Chad will agree! HA!

oh...yes, tears!! So precious! Jake and Evy did something similar tonight and I almost lost it in the living room. Seriously, when did these boys become so big and protective? Just really gets you!
