When I came home from a trip to the grocery store (times three stores actually, trying to find halibut for tonight's supper club, long story, fill you in later) I walked in on two busy kids. Kyan was pulling apart chopsticks and had a piece of computer paper in his hands along with three different colored markers, all while asking for glue. I asked him what he was doing, as he was very determined (with his sidekick little sister right by his side) and he said he was making a sign for their corn they planted so they could remember where it was exactly. Then they both started talking at the same time in very excited voices about how they planted corn (a popcorn kernel) and how they had to water it and watch it grow so they could have corn whenever they wanted and never run out! It was adorable and I just went right along with their story. I helped Kyan cut his corn sign, tape it on to the chopstick, and off they went. Not two minutes later they came to get me, proud as could be, to show me where they had planted! They were so cute and happy! First thing Kyan did when he got up this morning was come tell me he was headed outside to see if his corn grew! I think it is time for a garden...with daddy of course, I can't keep anything alive to save my life!
