MTV has a show called 16 and Pregnant, where it shows 16 year old couples going through their pregnancy. Up until last nights episodes, all of the couples or mother's have kept their babies. Last night a young couple was featured that decided to give their daughter up for adoption, despite the support of their parents. I mean, making the decision to give your baby up for adoption has to be incredibly hard in itself at such a young age, but without the support of your parents, has to be even harder. Although the couple was young, they thought more grown up than their parents it seemed like and they knew that their daughter was going to have a better life than they could give her. They wanted to be part of an open adoption and wanted their daughter to know how incredibly loved she was and that is why they made the decision that they did. They showed the entire adoption process, from selecting a parent to handing their daughter over. It was incredibly emotional and I think that I cried the entire time.
Adoption is an incredible thing, and I have had a few friends and family that have had their lives blessed by this amazing gift that one mother and father can give to another. Circumstances and situations have been different for each family that I know, but in the end, what a gift, and they are blessed with amazing children, just like the couple was from the show.

How strange- I just saw my 1ST episode of that the other day?? (I didn't see the one you're talking about, but that would have been a tear jerker for sure.)
If Camden is ever on that show, OUT OF THE HOUSE she goes! I jooooke. But seriously, when I was watching it, I couldn't help but think of her & freak out just a little.
i love that show. but how sad, 16 and preggo? it makes my stomach do flip flops when i think about kylee and her being one of those girls. it isn't always poor parenting as the reason that it happens to these kids so young. i saw the preview for that episode but didn't see the show. good for her, for sure.
I love that show! I've watched like every episode except that one! Ughh I want to see it. At least she is with a better family now who can take care of her!
I watched that show last night too and thought it was a really touching episode. You could tell it was extremely difficult for them but they knew it was the right decision. I definitely shed some tears! It didn't help that I was holding my sleeping Baby Blaine either!!
I watched that show today!
It was really sad. I would hate to be in that situation!
At least she knows her baby is in good hands.
I too watch that show but somehow missed this episode. Maybe it is better that way, as I am crying just thinking about it.
I watched a true life episode on the same thing. Balled the entire show.
BTW- Candis cracks me up!!
