Splash Pad - Westgate

Today we planned on going to the splash park at 83rd Ave and Bethany Home, only to go there and see a ton of summer camp groups (lots of older kids) in the park, and didn't think the kids would get much out of it since it was so busy...

...so off we went to Rovey Farms, to like a private park for their community (Susie knows the neighborhood really well as she and Jearel have been looking at homes there) only this time we find no water shooting out of the spouts?!?!

So we KNEW that Westgate would have their spouts on so we headed there. Except, they didn't start spraying until 10, so we found a nice spot to wait in the shade for about 10 minutes before it was splash time! And, splash time it was! All three kids had a blast playing in the water, even Lola, who would have thought! Nothing fancy about this place, just water shooting up from the ground, it was perfect! Think this will be our new place to go!

Lola watched brother to make sure it was safe for her to go in the water!

"Ummmm...should I do it?"

"OK!" ~ from then on she was hooked and amazed at the water!

It is shots like the one above that make me love my camera!

All three kids played so good together!

Kyan made sure to keep a close eye on his sister!

Towards the end, Jayla wanted to go exploring, mommy Susie had to do all the chasing today ~ I just sat and snapped away! Sorry Sue, I wasn't much help!

Lola thought the statue was a doggy and was waving and showing Jay her new friend!

Then it was off to Johnny Rockets for some lunch! The kids sported their new hats for a lil bit and ate some yummy lunch before heading home for naptime!

Thanks for sharing our fun day with us Jayla and Susie ~ no matter what we do, we always have fun hanging with you girls!

So cute! I was out around Westgate today pimpin' out my resume at the area hotels.

My friend and I are going to take her son Jace to the splash park on 83rd on Friday. If you guys are around, we should meet up :)

How did the sale go? Is there anything left? My mom was wondering if any of Brion's coffee cups were left. Oh, I have a stack of photos of when Chad and I went to San Diego w/ our dads. SOO funny. I'm sure you and Chad would like to see them. I see A LOT of Kyan in young Chad, it's crazy!

It was such a fun morning, but then again it is always fun with you guys.
I'm glad we were able to find a slash pad spot. I was laughing at the group of (what looked to be) high school kids (at the first place). It did look cool though. Maybe we should try that one again?! Or better yet go back to westgate so we can get that brownie sundae. HA!

~I think Lola may like this better than swimming?!~
Love you guys!!!
Thanks for the pictures :)

Heyyy, NEW suit for Lolita?? Me LIKKEEY.
I laughed out LOUD at the pic of Kyan & Lola in those goofy hats- too cute!
Whoever invented the splash pad = Genius. It seems perfect for Lola, so it's not as overwhelming to her as the pool.

I love your comments on my blog this week (make me choke up now!)

I haven't told you this enough, but you were my biggest support group throughout my entire pregnancy and there for me each step of the way. In fact, I didn't post this- but you were the last person I told Michael to test before they wheeled me into the operating room. I wanted to make sure you knew, Camden was finally on her way!!

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for every single thing you did for me & for the friendship you continue to share with me. I LOVE YOU!
