What exactly does that mean you ask? Well, I have really only had family (and that usually means Donna because my parents don't live here. They watch the kids on occasion, but not Lola at great lengths because she is too much for them) watch my kids EVER. Not that I don't think others are capable, just that...I don't really know how to explain it actually, just that I never knew who to call, and Lola is such a drama queen and I never know how she is going to feel with someone else (not worried about Kyan, he is the sweet, I love everyone and everyone is my favorite kinda kid), and how much do I pay them, and is my house clean enough, and the list could go on and on so I'll stop, because I think you get the picture! Anywho, my mom is really on me about finding a teenager in the neighborhood and getting to know them and having someone else that can relieve Donna of babysitting duties or when she can't watch the kids to have a back up plan.
Well, my back up plan began yesterday, my I know you are so proud! Even Donna too - I am sure you hate saying no! Two former students who graduated WCMS last year and are soon to be freshman at Aqua Fria in a week, Laken and Celeste arrived around 8:30, and they were sleepy! I had them up early this summer for sure! I gave them a few directions and went to get them breakfast (as I needed myself) and said bye to Kyan, then Lola, who was sitting on Laken's lap from the second she got out of her high chair and eating breakfast. She told me, and I quote, "Bye, See you later!" HA! That easy! She loved both girls and was just fine seeing me go away! I called once to check on them and Laken told me Lola was already down for her nap! I was so impressed, as I really didn't think she would take a nap with all the excitement that was going on in the house! I called one more time to ask about lunch and Celeste told me that they were having a tickle fight and wrestling! I knew Kyan was in heaven, as he loves to do this with anyone that is willing and he was getting it double time!
When Lola woke up, I brought them home, but not before stopping at the new house to show them where they would be babysitting in the future! They were so sweet and offered to help clean with me or watch the kids so that I could go clean in peace!
The girls did a great job holding down the fort and taking great care of my babies! I see many future date nights ahead now that I found two young ladies that I can trust with my kiddos!
They snapped some pictures from the day with my kids, I stole them off of their blogs!

I am so happy things went well for you. I may need to steal them from you from time to time. I officially have never had anyone watch Jay besides Jearel's family.
I get scared!! They got some really cute pictures of the kids.
I personally love the sink bath, Jayla gets those quite often. You know how I am about dirt ;).
So does this mean I was not a "For Real babysitter". I mean you didn't have to pay me, but you always pay me in other ways :).
That kindof sounded gross, but you know what I mean!!
OMG - Susie, you are totally a "for real babysitter"! HA! I meant like teenagers I guess!
You are totally a for real babysitter, they love you and going over to your house to play with all of your cooler toys than our house! You are so a real sitter! What was I thinking?
how fun! i used to babysit all the time when i was younger. now that i think about it, often times it was for people who had never met me before. weird.
how nice that you found someone to watch the kiddos for you. i think i'm jealous, ha! i bet the girls had as much fun as the kiddos did.
That is awesome you have those girls! I love the look on Kyan's face- like, "HI Girls!" Haa. And Lola's sink bath- too funny!
