Ok, So Jodi Picoult is my favorite author, and I was so excited to get my hands on probably my only adult read of the summer - Handle with Care! However, this one started off slow for me and I wasn't sure if I would finish it - but so glad I did. The last chapter left me breathless. Literally, I couldn't breath or think straight and tears filled my eyes instantly. If you can get your hands on this one, it is worth your time to read!

My mom read this and said the last chapter is the best, but i just couldn't get into it.

Hmmmf.
GOSH! So many good books out there and yet I can't find time to read them! Or maybe I just take to long to read them! Haha
only adult read for the summer? how come? i remember you giving me two of her books when i was having problems with kylee's pregnancy. they were too slow for me, i couldn't finish either one. if a book can't grab me in the first 50 pages or so, i'm done. i can hardly find the time to read much anymore. it makes me sad, reading is my absolute favorite thing to do in the world! now all i read are karen katz books, ha!
I love your recommended reads. When I am all done with the twilight saga, its on!!
Colleen - I teach young adult literature, need to keep up on what is new with what my kids are reading! I need to be able to know what book to recommend to them if they ask?! Part of the job!
i wish part of my job was to read (something other than baby books!). did the twilight series fall under "young adult". i guess it probably would. i kept waiting for a sex scene, damn it!
Have you read breaking dawn yet?
my book club is reading that this month. However, I'll be back in good 'ole AZ when the meeting comes around.
I am currently reading her book about the Amish (the title escapes me right now).
yes but that's a PG sex scene! cheesy. it's like a pg movie where you see a make-out scene and then they cut to the next day after.
OK Susie - you never go back to read comments - WTH? Just keep reading the series, it is worth it! HA!
Brooks, loved her book about the Amish - really found out what it was like to be part of their close nit community! I watched a documentary on the Amish one time after I read that book, so interesting!
Colleen - That is one of the perks of being an 8th grade literature teacher ;)
