Vacation Day 3 - Hanging out with the Garretts!

Day 3 was one to relax and just kinda kick it around the Beach Haven! The Garrett family arrived the day before (while we were Legolanding it) so Day 3 we spent most of the time with them!

We started out on a morning walk out onto the pier!

Kyan took this picture of us! Not bad huh? He was so proud of himself! He looked so funny with my big camera and we were laughing so hard because he was trying to get us into focus and had a hard time! The lense didn't look like it was even close to catching a picture of us, but low and behold he did it! The proof is above!

Kyan was fascinated with the holes on the pier and thought it was so cool that you could see the ocean below! He stopped several times and did this!

After our walk, we headed to the beach!

Chad was the only one to brave the water!

The Garretts

Lola's hair?! I don't know what is up with it! Don't know if you can tell in the little picture, but if you click on the picture, you will see sand everywhere!

My little snuggler - even on the beach!

Chad and Kyan built a castle and played with Kyan's new lego guys! They were having a battle and Chad told Kyan this huge story! Kyan was left wanting more when they were done! He loves it when you tell him "stories with your mouth" as he likes to say!

Bringing out my artsy side!

Jearel built a hole in the sand and Kyan fit right in!
After our afternoon by the water, we took the Garretts out to dinner at the Green Flash!
This was a spot that Chad's dad took us to whenever we visited San Diego with him, he always treated us and any friends we had along, so we did the same for the Garretts in honor of Brion, as he would have done the same thing! San Diego is a place that Brion loved and we were reminded of him constantly everywhere we went. It felt like a huge piece of him was with us on this vacation.

All of us!

Lola eats just about anything, anytime! She started off her dinner with bread and continued to eat...and eat...and eat!

Jayla, Susie, and Jearel

Two attempts at a family pic - as you can see, no bueno! (As you can also see, Lola is still eating!)

I love the snuggle picture & LOLA'S CRAZY BEACH HAIR! Michael would call that "Havasu Hair!" too much.
So many cute pics of you & Kyan from this trip- Haven't seen those in a while.
At 1st when I saw Kyan face down on the pier, I was thinking: "Melt down?"...not so much! He seemed like he had SO much fun!

Hey now, Jearel got in that water too. Remember you took the picture of him going in it to pee. HA!

Lola does have some wild hair, maybe because you lather the sun block up in it!!

Thank you guys and Brion for the wonderful dinner and wine. I loved eating right there on the beach. It was nice to finally watch a sun semi-set.

You guys are adorable! What a nice way to honor Brion. He would't have it any other way.

Laken: I usually am the one behind the camera, but I forced Chad to take some picture with me in them! He happily agreed, that meant I would stop taking them of him!

Susie: Oops, I meant to put that he was the only one in our family who braved the water! Jearel totally went in and peed, I caught it on camera!
